“Whether it is reliving the feeling of a landscape, bringing out the essence of a flower, or sensing the manner of a person, I try to share that experience through my art.”

About the Artist

Judy Gore Gearhart

During 35 years of rewarding medical teaching and practice, her art was more or less on the back burner. Judy did occasional graphite pencil portraits and watercolors of homes for gifts or charity fundraisers. She did a bronze bust of her father, Dr. Sam Gore, for the Gore Gallery, and busts of her husband and sons.  After retiring from UMMC in 2015, Judy has enjoyed rediscovering my avocations of art and singing.

In recent years, Judy had the pleasure of attending a sculpture class under her late father and assisting with his final sculptures. Judy says,“I’m thankful for this legacy and hope to honor it.” She is currently employed by the two cutest, most precocious and adorable grandsons in the world.
